Welcome to the Sixth Annual SharePoint Summit

This marks the sixth year of the SharePoint Summit. Once again, this educational event will be held in two locations and in two languages. The English language SharePoint Summit will be in Toronto, Canada from May 14 to May 16, 2012. The French version will be held in Quebec City from April 16 to April 18, 2012.

SharePoint is more than technology; it is a business collaboration platform that supports a variety of business scenarios where people need to interact with each other, with content and information, or with application systems (line-of-business data) – within the organization or with partners, suppliers, and customers. SharePoint 2010 capabilities include enterprise content management (ECM), collaboration, portals, business intelligence and integration with non-SharePoint data.

Most conferences focus on the technical aspects of SharePoint – but we know that technology represents only part of a successful SharePoint solution. The SharePoint Summit 2012 is designed to address 100% of your solution requirements – not just technology. Our goal for the SharePoint Summit 2012 is to provide a 360 degree approach that covers all of the aspects you need to understand and assimilate to implement a SharePoint solution that will meet your business needs and be embraced by your users.

Our conference sessions are structured to meet the needs of Business Managers, Information Architects, Project Managers, IT Managers, Developers, and Power Users who wish to understand best practices for designing, building and implementing effective SharePoint solutions.

Designed and developed by a Board of Directors that includes SharePoint customers, consultants and solution providers, the SharePoint Summit 2012 is a unique place to meet the key players in the world of SharePoint and learn from their successes (and their mistakes). Our conference will include an exhibit hall with carefully selected vendors presenting products and services that complement SharePoint.

Great speakers, best-in-class vendors, and focused sessions addressing both business and technical needs. The only thing missing is YOU!

What's new for the SharePoint Summit 2012:

  • More sessions designed for business managers, information architects and project managers
  • Workshops to provide end-to-end training for a complete solution deployment
  • An even better “IRON SharePoint” – a contest with teams competing to build the best SharePoint Solution for a real project in just three days!
  • New location with larger conference rooms and even better logistics
